Asher's 12th Birthday

Somebody just turned 12!  We had so much fun celebrating Asher this past week.  He's such a great kid and we are proud and lucky to be his parents.  He is still a HUGE sports fan, and was wanting to do a basketball game with a few friends for his birthday.  There happened to be one on his actual birthday so it worked out perfectly!  We had pizza and cake at our house then Corey headed  out to The Pit with the boys.  They had a great time cheering for the Lobos, eating treats and goofing off.

Asher's birthday round 2 was also lots of fun. Family, food and fun.  He had a great time visiting with his in town cousins, and grandparents on both sides.  We had lots of cookie cake (his fave), and he opened and loved his presents.  This boy loves soccer, baseball, basketball, sports radio, legos, does great in school, is responsible (babysitting a little at home, yay!) and tries hard to do good things. I can't believe how old he is already. Almost a teenager, in middle school, what?! Happy 12th Asher, and we love you!!

Christmas 2017

Oh my Goodness!!  I can't believe how fast this month went this year.  Christmas came and went and I feel like we did get to enjoy at least some of it despite having our house on the market to sell (which is not, by the way, what I would recommend to anyone, ever).  Our Christmas tree wasn't even up until a couple of weeks into December.  My poor boys. Beckett asked if we were ever going to put up our tree.  It did finally go up, but sadly, it was down the day after Christmas.  Like I said, I don't like this selling the house at Christmas thing, and hope to never do it again, but you have to do things you don't like sometimes, so here we are!

Corey and I went to an Ugly Sweater party, the boys and I went to a community Nativity event at which Asher sang with a youth choir, we baked cookies, decorated cookies (even Dawson!), and fit in some gingerbread house decorating.

Christmas morning was wonderful with the boys, they were all excited and happy about presents and celebrating being together.  I sure do love these handsome little rascals.  We had cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate and rested and played all day.  We are so thankful for each other, for our Savior, and for this Christmas season.  Despite the stresses life brings, I'm so glad to have a chance to reflect on what's really important.

Merry Christmas!
