AZ Baby

Arizona did not disappoint!  We had so much fun visiting family and relaxing.  We stayed part of our visit at a resort in Scottsdale with gorgeous swimming pools and a sandy beach.  The kids loved it and had a wonderful time swimming around like fish.  Despite the toasty weather, we spent lots of time outside and slathered on the sunscreen!  Little man D had fun in the water too, and he and I spent lots of time in the shallow end splashing around.
While in Gilbert with Corey's parents, we hit Nelson's frozen custard, had lots of shaved ice, visited the Mesa Temple Visitor's Center and grounds, went to a really fun trampoline park, an awesome bowling  place and went to the Arizona Science Center. We also were able to tour the Diamondbacks Stadium.  The boys all enjoyed the tour a LOT and our guide was a huge die hard fan, which made it even better.  We had a nice visit with them and the kids enjoyed hanging out with grandma and grandpa too.

A big bonus this trip was visiting with my sister, Kayla and her family.  They're living in Glendale for a short time while her husband Jake is finishing up his flight training.  We absolutely loved getting to spend a little time with them.  We toured around the shopping center near their home (and directly adjacent to the Cardinals Stadium), and went to a restaurant called the Saddle Ranch Chop House, which included an insane cotton candy tower!  So fun, and possibly a dream come true for Corey.  We also met up with them at the Children's Museum where the kids ran wild and played to their hearts content.  It was so nice to catch up with them a bit and for the cousins to hang out!  Love you, K!  I think they should move to NM next...hmmm.
